Hyde Park is home to Austin locals with a presence of upperclassmen and graduate students. Its many local bakeries, coffee shops, and food markets bring a warm, small-town feel to this small area of Austin. Hyde Park is a great place for those who enjoy biking, or those unopposed to using the UT bus system to get to campus.

A peaceful, quiet neighborhood consisting of small houses/duplexes as well as a few small apartment complexes. Cheap rent.
A community of young families, upperclassmen, and graduate students. It’s hard to find trouble in Hyde Park.
Hyde Park can be significantly less expensive than other neighborhoods around the UT campus as most of the properties are older, smaller houses.
