The southwest part of the city is filled with several different large apartment complexes and is populated almost exclusively by Texas A&M students.
With few shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions, Southwest College Station is primarily filled with student housing located along Harvey Mitchell Parkway. Many college students live in this area due its close proximity to A&M’s campus and College Station’s central highways.
