Top 5 Apartment Gyms in Tallahassee:

Here are the top 5 apartment gyms according to what I have witnessed:

The great thing about Tallahassee housing is that the majority of the apartments have a gym that is accessible to the public. That way if you are looking for somewhere to get a quick workout or exercise in you can pick and choose which complex to go to depending on what you're trying to work out. All these gyms have different qualities, so it’s good to know where each is and what equipment is offered in which gym. These gyms fall outside the normal gyms such as Golds, Youfit, Planet Fitness, and the Leach that you would otherwise need a membership to use. Here are some of the top 5 apartment gyms according to what I have witnessed:

1. The Forum 2525 West Tennessee Street, Tallahassee, FL, 32304

Located a little bit farther from FSU’s campus, this gym has it all. Comprised of two-stories. With all the cardio machines upstairs, and all the free weight machines downstairs. There is a bench: flat, incline and decline (free weights that go past 100 lbs). This is a big win compared to most community gyms. Also, cable machines, and don’t forget leg day! Plenty of leg machines to go around. There is also an area for boxing with a punching bag. On top of that, there is an indoor basketball/volleyball court connected to the gym. I believe this to be the only indoor court you will find at any apartment complex in Tallahassee.

2. The Woodlands 2195 W Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL 32304

Right down the street from the Forum, this gym offers a ton. It overlooks the pool so that you can have a nice view while working out. The leg machines are endless, squat/leg press machines, free weights, as well as a jungle gym outside to work arms and legs by the pool.

3. The Osceola 500 Chapel Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32304

If you want a great gym that is walking distance from campus, look no further than here. This gym is spacious and contains essential equipment for a quality workout. There is a bench press, as well as a squat/smith machine, high-quality cables, and plenty of options for a solid back workout.

4. The Flats at College Town 815 W Madison St, Tallahassee, FL 32304

This place is a little bit harder to access, but there is plenty here for you. There is a cable machine and a bench, rack with different weighted bars, squat rack and plenty of medicine balls. Also, there is a preacher curl machine for your biceps and ropes to blast your shoulders and arms. All this, while overlooking college town and the bars below.

5. The Meridian 1111 High Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32304

Located off High Road, this gym is very accessible with enough equipment for a killer workout. The only negative is the free weights only go up to 50lbs. They also have two regular benches to utilize with shoulders and back, cable machines, a smith machine, cardio machines, back machines, and a few leg machines. As long as you can be creative in your workout (which you should be), then you can optimize your time here. Friendly tip: perfect gym if you aren’t trying to wait in a line for the next accessible machine.
